Eido is having his first summer holidays at his grandmother's in a small mountain village. At first, he finds it quite boring. But later, after making himself comfortable on the back of a buffalo, he sets off to explore the extremely beautiful surroundings where he derives inestimable wisdom from a hundred-year-old man while learning to take a somewhat different look at everyday situations.

Indrė Beinartė is making her debut as a writer. In her book which she also illustrates, she speaks of important human values. Talking about values with children, is worthwhile for them from an early age. This amazing, cosy story is awash with the Orient, inviting the reader to travel across a distant land together with the main character. The story encourages one to talk with their family about sympathy, respect for nature and every living being, the ability to accept life as it comes, and to savour the moment and intangible things.
